I love Travelocity.....I love Travelocity!

Travelocity is so easy and works wonderfully.  I select Hotel+ Flight, pick a destination, pick a date and see what my choices are. Play around with dates.....flying during on a weekday might be cheaper than weekends. With the Islands some Airlines don't fly in everyday...I believe American Airline will have the most to the Caribbean.
Watch for high seasons...it will be more expensive....our trip to St Croix was $1400 less in December than January. So we chose dates before Dec. 15 when it would be more expensive.

I try to keep my total for 7 days, hotel, and air fare close to $3500..... Remember I want the funds to travel more, not go high class once. Our hotels are the best I can find within our budget, not giving up the beach, comfort, or safety.
I read a lot of hotel reviews on Trip Advisor before I choose. I want the best bang for my $.

There are things that are deal breakers.....I know I am on an island but I want to be able to stay in touch with my family back here in Kentucky......free wifi is a MUST. When I traveled in 2011 to Israel and Jordon, free wifi was the only way I was able to communicate, and a real blessing......
You really don't need a phone....communicate thru email, Facebook, and FaceTime. It is amazing the times we live in....my Dad would never have believed this.

Airports are scary...big and busy....so I always get the lay out of the airport on the Internet.

Flightaware.    This is a great way for your family to check on your flight .....that you have arrived safely, any delays, and landing time.  After a 7 hour delay in Chicago.....it kept our daughter informed of our flight delays.....however, after a long delay, she went to bed, ....never knew when we got home!
